Set up inventory in the same order a person walks the building. A reliable route and familiar count units matter more than forcing every item into alphabetical order.
Build the catalog
-
Create departments
Use operational areas such as Cafe, Redemption, Bar, or Maintenance so counts and user access follow real responsibility.
-
Add or import items
Enter the base unit, case quantity, and any smaller container such as a sleeve, bag, or tube with its units-per-container value.
-
Arrange the inventory walk
Order departments and items to match the route through storage rooms, service areas, and the floor.
Take a count
-
Choose Guided or List view
Guided view presents a small tablet-friendly batch at a time. List view keeps the original dense workflow for experienced counters.
-
Select the department
Users see only departments assigned to them. This prevents a cafe manager from skipping through unrelated redemption inventory.
-
Enter cases, containers, and loose units
FECForge converts each count into total base units so full cases and partial sleeves do not distort usage.
-
Review before submitting
Check unusual values while the counter is still near the item, then save the batch.
Use the history
-
Record purchases
Enter received quantities so usage reports can distinguish consumption from replenishment.
-
Review reports
Filter by department and period to inspect consumption and variance.
-
Maintain access
Managers can use the Access tab to assign departments; the installation owner always retains full inventory visibility.
