Start with the smallest safe check. Avoid deleting containers, data folders, or browser storage until the installation owner has confirmed a current backup.
The page is blank after sign-in
-
Reload once
Use the normal browser reload first. Newer releases refresh stale application assets automatically when possible.
-
Use a hard refresh
If the page stays white, use Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+R on macOS.
-
Confirm the server is healthy
Ask the installation owner to open the FECForge health address or check the container before changing the user account.
Sign-in or module access is wrong
-
Check the username exactly
Usernames and temporary passwords must match the account created by the owner.
-
Reset the password
An owner can set a temporary password from Settings, then the user chooses a new password on the next successful sign-in.
-
Check both license and permission
A module must belong to the site license and the user must have permission to open it. Trial visibility can also hide unpurchased module tiles.
An import will not continue
-
Start a new import session
Close the completed import dialog and reopen it for the next file. Do not reuse the prior workbook preview.
-
Review the mapping
Confirm required fields, worksheet assignments, dates, and duplicate choices before importing.
-
Try a small copy
Use a duplicate spreadsheet with a few representative rows to isolate a layout or value problem without risking the source file.
An update or printer fails
-
Read the complete error
Keep the version, path, HTTP status, or printer message. Those details are more useful than retrying repeatedly.
-
Check the dependency
For updates, confirm backup storage is writable and download access is available. For tickets, run the printer test and confirm the configured printer host or queue.
-
Send a focused report
Use the Feedback page, choose Bug report, include the FECForge version and module, and paste the exact error without private passwords or license keys.
