Menu Boards is in alpha testing while the creator and TV companion are completed. The alpha build demonstrates the intended browser-to-display workflow, but features and setup may still change.
Prepare the catalog
-
Create categories and item types
Define the venue’s food, beverage, alcohol, promotion, or other groupings before adding items.
-
Add catalog items
Enter the item name, description, availability, image, and whether the image should appear on the board.
-
Add quantities and price options
Use separate options for sizes or counts, such as 6 wings and 12 wings, so quantity appears beside its price.
-
Add alcohol details where relevant
Alcohol-designated items can carry brewer, ABV, IBU, and other beverage details without showing those fields on unrelated food items.
Compose the board
-
Choose the board and background
Start from a theme or upload the venue’s own background image. Custom themes can set section colors.
-
Add category sections
Add a whole category as a section, then filter and reorder the included items.
-
Size each section
Give a short section less vertical space and a long section more space so one TV can hold the intended mix.
-
Tune the typography
Show or hide the board title and scale section headings, item names, prices, and descriptions independently from 10 to 200 percent.
Pair and publish
-
Install the TV player
Use the FECForge Menu Boards player on the supported Fire TV or Android TV device.
-
Enter the pairing code
Use the code shown by the TV player to attach that screen to the correct venue display.
-
Assign and publish the board
Choose the board for the paired screen, publish, and verify the exact TV preview before leaving the display unattended.
